@Audemic, Is this still true? This doesn't appear to be the case when I use the app, which I only recently downloaded.
@Qiana Hunt, thanks for your message ;)
Read Along feature is available on the Scholar web-application. The mobile App (the one available on App Store/Play Store and restricted to premium users) has limited functionality and this is one of them, but we are working to make it available very very soon!
I see this had been added now, possibly?
However, I would also like to request that it works with the original pdf, so I can see figures in place etc. (without reading captions etc. I like what it reads currently, just would prefer to see it in the context of the original pdf paper)
Thanks @Natasha, that is correct, the read along is now available. We'll take your feedback on this into consideration for our next version.
It would also be good if you could click on a word and the audio would start playing at that point in the article.
highlighting the word thats being read would be great to allow me to follow the text easily
We are working on this.
@Alejandro Garcia, is there an ETA on this feature? Having this would be the tipping point for me buying the product.
I've also heard of something called bionic reading, I think it's when the first two letters of the word are bolded, that can also greatly help dyslexic readers. I wonder if this could be added once the read-along is added?
Very helpful for people with dyslexia and generallly useful feature.
