Soemtimes, Audemic has some trouble recognising the flow of the text when it is pulished in column format, with two or three columns per page
It would be great if Audemic could recognise that when words have a hyphen at the end of a line, it is because the word is incomplete and continues in the next line.
I often come across PDFs where the text isn't selectable, making it impossible for Audemic to recognize it. The same issue arises with pictures of books. It would be fantastic if Audemic could overcome these challenges and still recognize text in such cases.
I've submitted a bug report and a feature request but I also would like to leave some positive feedback & let y'all know how much I appreciate Audemic and how much it has improved my experience at work and school. I have a hard time focusing for any substantial length of time on a research paper or textbook chapter when I...
Could you add a feature to continue to play audio through the different sections of the articles? Basically to continue to plod and play through the audio conversion without the need for the user to continually press the button.
The automatic of division into sections isn't perfect. Sometimes it contains more than the section title and sometimes not the full section title. It would be awesome if one could edit the break between the section title and the following text
Add an option for the visualization of the paper itself highlighting what is being read
allow to go to a sentence by clicking on top of it
Having uploaded lots of papers, I sometimes have some difficulties figuring out which ones I've read already and which I haven't, or it can take some time for me to find/establish which papers I haven't read yet. So my suggestion would be to include a line (below title and author(s)) in the overview of uploaded papers with "...
The highlight function seems to have several glitches on both the phone and laptop (but mostly phone). When I highlight text, I'm not always able to select a board to add it to. When I am able to select a board, the highlighted text does not always appear on that board, despite receiving a "Highlight successfully created!" me...
Ability to speed up or slow down the narrator
It would be useful if the paper text scrolled at the speed of the reader. As it is, if I take my eyes off the document for too long, I find myself scrolling through a bunch of text trying to find where the reader is if I wanted to review what was just read.
When I attempt to upload a PDF of a book - I get the message that the paper is too big. It would be great if I did not have to split the PDF of the book into parts to listen to it.
I would like to be able to download my notes at some point, after the boards have expanded capacity for things like delete and note taking on them.
While reading it would be cool to click a button that highlighted the last read sentence (or two, deepening on preset setting
This would be nice!
When you highlight text and place it on the board, it currently just says the name of the author and a random date (not sure what the date is, it is not the date of the paper - might be the date it was downloaded?). It would be much more useful to have the name of the author, the date of the paper, and the name of the paper (...
It would be useful to be able to link up with Endnote and either export a whole endnote library into Audemic without uploading the papers manually, or have the same functionality as endnote to organise and export citations easily into texts.
Incorporate highlights and notes written in Zotero on Audemic and vice versa.
